Preparation:

Make sure your work are is clean and tidy and cover with paper towels, as dyes may stain.

Wash hands before you begin.

If any dye gets on your work surface wipe up with a dry paper towel first then wash with soap and warm water.

 

Single Colour Bling Soap

What you need: clear soap, soap mould, coloured fragrance, gem stones, gloves, measuring cup*, use of a microwave* and fridge*.

1. Put your gloves on to start.
2. Take your chosen soap mould and place some bling gemstones into the base.
3. Cut your block of clear soap into 5 equal sized pieces.
4. Place 1 of the pieces of clear soap into a large measuring cup. (Move the other 4 pieces out of the way to make more soap later)
5. Put the measuring cup into the microwave for 10 seconds on a high heat. If the soap does not become soft a further 5 seconds may be required. If the mixture begins to bubble remove immediately.
6. Add in some coloured fragrance and stir.
7. Pour the soap solution into your chosen soap mould and put in the fridge to cool until it has hardened.
8. You now have got your own soap!
9. Repeat steps 1-7 to make more soaps with the other pieces of the clear soap.

 

Multi Layered Soap

What you need: clear soap, soap mould, coloured fragrance, gem stones, gloves, measuring cup*, use of a microwave* and fridge*.

1. Put your gloves on to start.
2. Take your chosen soap mould and place some bling gemstones into the base.
3. Place 1 of the pieces of clear soap created in the previous experiment into a large measuring cup.
4. Put the measuring cup into the microwave for 10 seconds on a high heat. If the soap does not become soft a further 5 seconds may be required. If the mixture begins to bubble remove immediately.
5. Pour half of the soap solution into your chosen soap mould, add in some coloured fragrance and stir. Put in the fridge to cool until it starts to harden.
6. Add a different fragrance to the remaining soap solution, stir and pour into the mould. (The remaining solution may need a few seconds in the microwave again to make it soft again before doing this step.)
7. Put back into the fridge for a few minuted until the liquid sets. Do not freeze. When it appears to have set gently ease out of the mould. You have now got your own multi layered soap!
8. Repeat steps 1-7 to make more soaps with the other pieces of the clear soap.

Clear Soap 100G: Sucrose, Glycerin, Tallow (Adeps Bovis), Alcohol, Potassium Laurate, Cocos Nucifera Oil.

Blueberry Scent 6G: Paraffinum Liquidum, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Vanillin, Benzyl Benzoate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, BHT, CL 42090 Aluminium Lake.

Lavender Scent 6G: Paraffinum Liquidum, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Linalool, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, BHT, CL 16035 Aluminium Lake.

Strawberry Scent 6G: Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool.

Glitter: Polyethylene Terephthlates, 4,4-Lsopropylidenediphenol/Epichlorohydrin Copolymer.
